As the Threat of Matt Clark Looms, One Young & Restless Twosome Cuts and Runs

At least two people in Genoa City have had enough of the “wait and see” approach when it comes to whether or not Matt Clark is really most sincerely reformed. They’re simply not sticking around to find out!

It was one of those out of the blue shockers on Monday’s episode of Young & Restless, when Noah abruptly declared that he and Sienna had decided to peace out and head back to Los Angeles.

On one hand, you can hardly blame them. Matt’s repeated appearances at The Shadow Room were wreaking havoc on their relationship. Clark managed to convince Sienna that he was a changed man but Noah wasn’t buying it and forbade his girlfriend to have any further contact with her ex-husband. Unsuprisingly, the pistol of a gal wasn’t about being told what to do and put her boy-toy on notice. It was tense to say the least.

Fast-forward to the next time we see Noah, and he’s dropping a bomb on Mariah and Sharon, telling them that he and Sienna have decided to cut and run back to California to put some significant distance between them and Mad Matt. Mariah and Sharon understood, and we could too, on the surface, but we had one big bone to pick with the move.

While we could imagine Noah trying to send Sienna back to L.A. for her own protection, on what planet would Boy Wonder abandon his mother to whatever plan he obviously suspects Matt is cooking up while his dad is incapacitated in rehab?! It’s utterly unbelievable, but here we are with Tamara Braun and Lucas Adams both on their way out.

Noah and Sienna, who haven’t been on the canvas for even a year, caused a bit of a sensation with their debut on Young & Restless as a couple, given that they’d played a mother and son duo on Days of Our Lives previously.

Young & Restless fans were looking forward to a developing love triangle that would pit Sienna against Noah’s ex-lover, Audra, in a battle for his affections, but, alas, it appears the soap has zagged where it might have zigged.

While Noah assured his onscreen mom, Sharon, that his absence would be temporary, with a new headwriting team on the way, it remains to be seen if Lucas Adams will return in the role down the road, and, if so, whether he will be alone or with Braun’s Sienna. In the meantime, a Young & Restless preview teased that Danny Romalotti will take over The Shadow Room as its new manager.
