At Logan, Brooke implores Hope to understand that her place is at Forrester. Katie and Hope lock eyeballs as Brooke talks to her daughter like she’s a mental patient. “I’m going to get you out of here. Away from Katie, away from the Spencers.”

Hope breaks the news to her mother that Forrester hasn’t felt like her home for a very long time now. Brooke protests that she is hurt and devastated. (Me, me, me!) Brooke declares that she won’t allow Hope to get swallowed up by the darkness of Spencer. It may be too late… she’s already sporting a black leather jacket!

Hope informs her mother that this was her choice. She didn’t know she would be so disappointed. Brooke argues that she did know… that’s why she kept it secret. Katie tries intervening and Brooke demands to speak to Hope alone. Katie tells Brooke this was never meant to hurt her. “You should be proud of your daughter.”

Once alone, Brooke isn’t sure she’s ready to accept Hope’s apologizes or excuses. The waterworks turn on as she waxes on about the betrayal of it all. “How could you do this? How?!”

Worry Warts

In the Logan office, Bill, Liam and Will are rehashing that Hope has nothing to feel guilty about. Liam’s genuinely concerned how Brooke will handle this. Given what’s going on in the showroom, his fears are valid. Will launches into worrying about how Electra is going to take this. He cannot lose her over this!

Liam, deluded as ever, thinks Electra will be completely reasonable about this given they work at competing fashion houses. Bill suggests he head home to see if they’re on the same page. Will hopes she’s not there packing.

After Will leaves, Katie slams into the office to give Liam and Bill an update on Brooke. She’s sure their relationship will never be the same, but right now, she’s more concerned about Hope’s relationship with her mother. Liam cringes.

Over the Top

Back in the showroom, Brooke complains to Hope that she went to bat for her at Forrester. Hope had no reason to believe her line would ever be brought back. Brooke whines that she ruined everything… everything! Even Electra was shocked! Hope is sorry to have let those people down, especially her mother, but she had to keep the secret. Brooke can’t believe she chose fame, money and publicity over her. “Is that the woman you’re turning into?”

Make It Make Sense

At Forrester, Ridge grunts to Electra that they need to put the jewelry on hold. He has no choice after what happened at Logan today. Huh?! Only one fashion house can have jewelry?! As RJ questions his father, Ridge gives a vague explanation about pumping the brakes and re-evaluating. Electra, unsurprisingly, blames it all on Will knowing about diamond and jewelry line and not telling her.

Ridge exits, leaving RJ to soothe Electra’s poor widdle feelings and remind her that Will has let her down again. He implores her to leave the guy and get with someone who will treat her as she deserves. With that, he drapes himself over her in a hug. She pulls away… she should go home.

The Final Scenes

At Forrester, Ridge tells RJ to give his mom some love; she’ll need it right now. RJ’s more concerned with Electra being betrayed by Will. He hopes she ends things with him today.

At the beach house, Electra’s pacing with tears in her eyes when Will comes in. Lulling him into a sense of false security, she congratulates him on Logan’s success before launching into her grievance. He has a jewelry line there with the HFTF diamond in it. With a bit of a crazy look in her eye, she asks, “How could you keep all of that from me, Will?!”

At Logan, Katie explains that she left Hope with Brooke. She knew this was coming and is ready to meet her mother’s rage head on… but she’s never seen Brooke more upset or hurt. Liam sighs.

In the showroom, Brooke calls Hope out for her fake sabbatical and designing a line with Katie behind her back. She has a real family who loves her, did she even think about them? What about Zende? His heart was broken! She also ruined Eric’s comeback! Of course she did this… she’s the same woman who helped Carter do a coup. What happened to her sweet, innocent, principled daughter?!

She accuses Hope of worshipping money like the Spencers. Hope didn’t come there for the money. They value her there; they listen to her and respect her. Brooke argues that she did too, but she sold out to see her name in lights. Hope cries, “I didn’t want to leave!” But at some point she had to choose herself.

“I am sorry. I truly am sorry, mom. I just hope that you might be able to understand. So, please tell me, can you forgive me?”
