After Diane and Kyle Find Jack Bleeding Out, Patty Puts a Diabolical Twist Into Play

At Crimson Lights, Phyllis reminds Matt she saved him from Cane and demands to know what Victor has him doing. He attempts to change the subject, claiming that he wants to rebuild his life. Living with memories of what he did means living in a nightmare.

Phyllis understands, but turning to Cane for help is the wrong move. She remains convinced Victor has set that in motion. They go back and forth on it and she repeats that Cane is not the model to follow. She can see how much memories of the past hurt Matt. He asks if he should be looking to her for friendship instead.

Phyllis insists that she’s on her own now and determined to stay that way. When Matt suggests they go to The Shadow Room for a drink, she’s surprised. He’s not afraid of facing his past. If he can put who he was behind him, he may deserve to move on to something good.

A Diabolical Twist

On the dining room floor of the Abbott mansion, Jack is bleeding out. When he hears Diane and Kyle enter, he struggles to make noise, feebly reaching for the tablecloth and tugging, in hopes of knocking the crystal decanter to the floor. In the living room, Diane tells Kyle she’s ready to reunite with Jack and they wonder where he went.

Eventually, Jack manages to bring the decanter crashing to the floor. Kyle and Diane hear the noise and go the the dining room, where they panic upon seeing him. Frantic, they try to get him to open his eyes and Kyle calls for an ambulance. He’s puzzled to discover that they were already called. They assume Patty did this.

The cops and medics arrive. An officer tells Kyle that a woman called them, and he urges them to search the house in case Patty is still there. The cops search, and find Patty upstairs. She screams and cowers. Her arms are covered in blood. She claims that Diane attacked her and Jack.

Meanwhile, Burrow arrives downstairs and questions Kyle, wondering why he didn’t bother calling earlier. The paramedics manage to resuscitate Jack and wheel him out to the ambulance.

Audra Annoys Sienna

At The Shadow Room, Sienna flirts with Noah over the phone before ordering him off to bed. She turns and glares as Audra saunters in. They immediately get into it over Noah. Sienna reminds her that he’s her boyfriend now. Audra hints that it might not be for long.

Eventually, Noah shows up and brushes past Audra to cozy up with Sienna. That warm moment ends when Phyllis enters with Matt. Noah leaps over to them and Phyllis defends Matt. Clark offers to leave, but Noah allows him to stay… as long as he stays away from Sienna.

When Matt questions why Phyllis defended him again, she claims she cares. He’d find that easier to believe if she hadn’t conked him out last time she said it. The redhead says she understands him and apologizes for hurting him. She genuinely likes their friendship.

The Final Scenes

At the bar in the Shadow Room, Audra asks Noah how he’s holding up. “It’s been a day,” he admits. He knows she cares. Audra worries about him after all that’s happened. They joke about how he always keeps a stiff upper lip. She tells him she will be there if he needs a friend. Sienna isn’t pleased to see Audra grip his hand.

At their table, Matt admits that Phyllis’ hotness clouds his judgment. She warns him about Victor again. The only thing he cares about is being better. She says he is. Matt can see that Phyllis wears a mask; he’s interested in the person behind it and cares about her a lot. Abruptly, she agrees to go on a date.

At the Abbott manse, Patty is brought down the stairs, where Diane and Kyle confront her. The women have to be separated and Diane quickly guesses Patty is trying to frame her for this. Patty wastes no time claiming that Diane caught her with Jack and went berserk, attacking both of them. She points out that Diane is covered in blood and urges them to arrest her.

Diane declares Patty a liar. Kyle and the cops keep them apart. They continue hurling accusations until Burrow yells at them to stop. No one is going anywhere until he gets some answers. Patty repeats that Diane is guilty.
