As Drew Threatens Just About the Entire Quartermaine Family, Ethan Cuts His Losses and Runs
Friday, July 31, 2026: Today on General Hospital, Ethan has a dramatic reaction to seeing Hudson, Drew spars with Brook Lynn and Jason has some uncomfortable news for Sonny.

Ric drops by Sonny’s before joining Liz at the softball game. He fills Sonny in on Sidwell’s legal situation, telling him all his assets are about to go up for auction. Sonny’s getting his piers back.
A Double Love Connection?
Joe and Dante warm up a bit before the softball game, while Lucas stresses out about it with Liz. They both realize Britt isn’t there — and she’s got the equipment! Joe chases a foul ball over to them and Lucas is all smiley until Liz tells him not to talk to the enemy. They’re in it to win it!

Dante runs over, though, and pulls Liz away to help her practice (flirt), which leads to a spit take when Joe asks Lucas how long Dante and Liz have been together! Together?? No, no! But… Joe is a detective, maybe he noticed what Lucas missed. As they talk some more, Joe realizes that he forgot about making arrangements with a realtor to look for places. Funny, Lucas needs a place to live, too!
What Does Tristan Want?
Jason watches Britt consult with Tristan, then heads over to ask her what she knows about the new doc, warning her that Tristan’s got ties to the WSB. She freaks out that he’s spying on her, but Jason just says to keep him updated. In the meantime, he asks her on a date; which she can’t make because she’s the GH softball equipment manager, and he can’t make because Sonny calls, summoning him!

Instead of bringing the softball equipment, Britt corners Tristan and tells him she knows what he’s doing there. She’s not going back to the WSB! Tristan insists he isn’t an agent, he just worked at a WSB medical facility. He tries empathizing with her fears — “It sounds like you’ve been through a lot” — but he’s there to treat patients.
Will Peter Break Down Anna?
Anna’s fighting with ghostPeter over murdering Britt. She doesn’t want to, so she’s going to find Valentin, but Peter stops her cold, and Emma gets home just to catch the tail end of the one-sided convo. But Anna has an excuse. She’s fine. Everything’s fine!
So Emma gets to what’s bothering her: She wishes Anna had told her Joss was in the WSB. Anna’s wishes she could have, and if Emma had been in danger, she would have. “Family always comes first.” And what’s more, Anna promises that she’s trying to put the WSB all behind her.
Valentin Is Curious
Carly joins Valentin for lunch, where he shares the good news: His assets are unfrozen. And now he can spoil her and get Wyndemere back for Charlotte. Valentin worries that he should have asked for more from Jack in return for the box. Take the win, Carly suggests. “I’m just curious. What is inside that box that Nina and Jack want?”

That’s about when Anna shows up, looking for Valentin, and sees him kissing Carly.
Ethan Runs Away
Ethan spots Hudson at the pool and freezes. Then Danny and Brook Lynn see Drew limp in and do the same! Ava greets Drew in surprise, then looks around for Ethan and notices that he’s, well, gone. So Drew helps himself to Ethan’s seat next to her, as she explains who she’s there with — which Hudson overhears!
Drew cuts to the chase: Ava and Nina are close. Was she in on It, too? (We all know he’s not talking about the creepy clown!) Ava’s oblivious, though, and thinks Willow must be so relieved that he’s back on his feet! She even asks what happened when he says he and Willow are getting divorced. His long illness made him realize what their relationship really was.
Brook Lynn Stands Up to Drew
Danny brings Brook Lynn some water as they both watch Drew nervously. Ava comes over to ask Brook Lynn if she knows where Ethan went, but alas, she doesn’t, so Ava scurries off. Then poor Danny tries bringing Drew his iced tea and trips and spills it all over him. Drew flips out until Brook Lynn rushes over to shut him down.

She shoos the teen off and tells Drew to calm. Him. Self. Down. They agreed to tolerate him for Scout’s sake, but he’s not part of the Quartermaine family, and he never will be. He fires right back, saying Willow wants Chase back and she will stop at nothing to get him back.
Ethan Leaves Town
Ethan’s bags are already packed when Lulu gets home and he tells her he’s leaving for good. But she warns that people don’t just up and quit on Sonny Corinthos, but Ethan’s sure he needs to go, so Lulu takes his keys and promises she has his back. He asks her to tell everyone he left town.
In the Show’s Final Moments
Sonny wants to talk to Jason about buying his piers back from Sidwell, but first he tells Jason and Ric to make nice. They shake and make up, so Ric goes to the park, and that’s when Jason tells Sonny he’s out. (Wait, really? So what’s next?) Ava tells Danny that if Ethan shows up, throw a drink at him, which Hudson overhears. He calls Lulu’s to try feeling out if Ethan’s there, but learns he moved out. Where? TBD.

Lucas shares some housing leads with Joe, who offers a few softball tips. Liz is almost comically bad as Dante tries teaching her a few pointers, and, as they’re working on some moves, Ric shows up, scowling. Britt runs up with the bags finally and gets yelled at by Liz.
Brook Lynn warns Drew not to let petty grievances ruin his life. “Stay away from my family.” By the time he’s done, Drew warns, “the Quartermaines will be the ones to lose everything.
