Bold & Beautiful fans had a very strong reaction to one character’s, erm, very strong reaction to the Hope by Logan launch… and they’re simply not having it! As Ivy would say, “It’s not propa. It’s not propa at all!”

The big Logan surprise was not that they were launching another line, but that it was spearheaded by none other than Hope Logan, who was on a sabbatical from Forrester Creations. For some, however, that was shocking, but not the end all be all. There was one person (besides Brooke) who was entirely focused on how it affected them… and wasted no time in making it personal.

Electra Forrester was gobsmacked that not only were the Logan models wearing jewelry they’d designed in-house, but that Hope was sporting her namesake diamond. You know, the one Electra had coincidentally started coveting just days before out of the blue. And she didn’t take the disappointment sitting down. No, she stood tall in the design office and whined to ex-dalliance, R.J., about the slight being a personal offense. How? Well, her boyfriend Will went to work at Logan after being fired from Forrester, and – gasp! – kept the secrets he was required to keep under the rule of his employment from her, the competition.

We canvassed Bold & Beautiful viewers in this SOAPS’ Facebook post, asking whether or not they thought Electra was over-reacting, and boy, did they let us know how they felt… overwhelmingly.

In over 2,000 responses, we only found a single commenter who understood Electra’s perspective, and even they acknowledged that it was immaturity on her part. Other posters agreed with that estimation, with Yvette Marie complaining, “She’s such a baby.”

The most common sentiment expressed by responders was that of Louise Bensley, who declared, “She is overreacting! They now work for competing fashion houses. You’re not going to tell the competitor your trade secrets.” Point blank, period! Why doesn’t Electra understand this?! We suppose there would be no drama if she did, but, nonetheless, it’s frustrating.

Some fans took it even further and opined that not only was Will not in the wrong, he was wronged by Electra in the aftermath given that she turned to R.J. of all people for comfort and understanding. We’re gonna go ahead and guess that she would lose her ever lovin’ mind if Will turned to Dylan for a hug. Bold & Beautiful fan, Becky Faulkingham, wondered, “Will she tell Will she was in RJ’s arms today?” We’re guessing she won’t… but R.J. might given the opportunity, and won’t that be a mess.

In summation, Bold & Beautiful fans let loose on Electra for not only over-reacting, but for adding insult to injury by attacking Will when it’s she who has done something wrong. What’s your take? Let us know in the comments.
