Katie’s Destroyed by Her Sisters’ Rejection — and Dylan Gets Her Man

At the Forrester mansion, Brooke has disowned Katie, who tries babbling her way out of it. Brooke won’t budge. “We are no longer family!” Brooke hollers that Katie declared war and this is the consequences. (Actually, it may have been Brooke who declared war, but who’s keeping track at this point?).

Katie, not one to give up easily, keeps pleading with Brooke and asking Donna to talk sense into their sister. Donna boards the Brooke train, confronting Katie about her secrets and lies putting her in an impossible position. Katie’s sorry, but sometimes in business you have to keep secrets. Donna hisses that she put her company above family and messed with her marriage. “You have undermined our entire family, Katie!” Katie cries as she intones, “Not. Ever. Again.”

Katie makes a tearful appeal to Eric to tell them the truth. He came to her willingly and promised to stand at the end of the runway with her! “Tell them!” Eric takes Donna’s hand and leaves the room in response. Katie rails, “That’s right! Walk away just like you did last time!” Ridge growls at her for raising her voice at his dad, who just got hit in the mouth by her son. “No more.”

After Donna’s put Eric to bed, she rejoins the party as Ridge is hollering at Katie that her son is a punk. And there it is: “The Forresters and Spencers don’t mix.” Brooke has another go at her sister for tearing the family apart by lying and manipulating. She’s not welcome there anymore. “Get out of this house!”

Moving On

At the beach house, Will moans to Dylan about the damage he’s done to his mom’s family. He can’t imagine how Brooke will react to this. “This could alienate my mother from her sisters forever.” Dylan shoots him a skeptical look.

It’s not long before talk inevitably turns to Will’s relationship with Electra. He’s not sure there’ll be one after tonight. He whines to Dylan about Electra using the word, “Never.” She tries to calm him down as his ranting ramps up, but he throws his beer bottle, smashing it against the wall and fumes, “I’ve lost her.”

Dylan grabs his face and tries selling him on this being a good thing. He always gets his heart broken by Electra. She gushes that he’s a good guy who needs to let her help him move on.

Will gets to sweeping up glass and suggests Dylan leave. She won’t leave him alone and plans to prove that he can count on her for anything. Possibly too soon, she makes a speech about him needing to remember how to have fun. She’ll never doubt or question him like Electra. “Let me help you move on.

The Final Scenes

Still in Will’s living room, Dylan pressures him to move on from Electra, who dictates how he can live and keeps leaving. She will stay. “I’m not leaving you like she does.” Moving in close, she caresses his chest and arms and kisses his neck. Will can’t promise her anything. She just needs him. They kiss and start undressing. Will lifts her onto the kitchen counter and then onto the couch they go for sex.

At the Forrester mansion, Brooke informs Katie that she chose to be a Spencer. Unfortunately, her daughter made a choice too. She’s fractured this family. Donna remembers this feeling from the day their father left them. Melancholy music plays as Katie cries in disbelief that they think her stepping out from Brooke’s shadow is the same as their dad abandoning them.

 Donna moves to stand by Brooke as Katie sobs that they will always be her sisters even if they can’t love her. “I will always love you.” Brooke replies, “Goodbye, Katie.” Donna breaks down as Katie exits.

Outside, Katie breaks down completely.
