Marlena Yanks Xander Back Down to Reality, Plus Dimitri Has Gwen and Leo Right Where He Wants Them

Brady and Rachel enjoy some breakfast in the Pub, while Sarah watches awkwardly from outside, remembering her almost-kiss with Xander. As Rachel’s worrying about where her mom is, Sarah finally joins them. Rachel then worries that Kristen won’t like Sarah being there when she arrives, but there’s no sign of that!

Is Sarah Having Second Thoughts?

Rachel gets a text from a friend and goes to call her and Brady mentions that he noticed an awkward vibe from Sarah. But it’s nothing! Nothing at all! They’re just entering a “new phase,” Sarah claims. Sure, sure. Rachel’s back, Brady agrees, but it’s a phase they can work through, right? Sarah freezes, then tries equivocating.

But Kristen texts Brady to let him know she’s not coming home, and the convo’s blessedly dropped.

Marlena Throws Cold Water On Xander

Xander’s all bubbly and happy on this “beautiful morning” as he joins Marlena for a session. Titan’s about to get its bail out, and he just had a Sarah breakthrough! Everything’s coming up roses. He excitedly tells Marlena all about their cellar time and Marlena is, well, not as thrilled as he’d like.

 She cautions Xander that this doesn’t mean Sarah wants to be back in a relationship. Plus, he’s still got anger issues. And he and Sarah still haven’t confronted their anger with each other. She’s got to cut their session short, though, when Brady texts, needing to see her.

Should Gus Trust Javi?

Javi’s having a nightmare about Leo and Dimitri hopping into bed together and declaring their love for each other — before Dimitri strangles his ex! He wakes with a start, where a peeved Gus tells him he was calling out Leo’s name. Oopsy. He’s just worried Leo’s life is in danger! And his purity. (OK, maybe not quite the right word.)

Dimitri’s dangerous, and who knows what he’ll do to Gwen and Leo. He wants to go, too! Gus understands that it’s in their nature to take action and not let others do the job. That’s why Gus uprooted his entire life for Javi… (Subtle, Gus.) Gus reminds Javi of how bad he felt when Leo ran off to Alamainia with Dimitri, but he still worries about him so much, he’ll travel thousands of miles to be by his side. Gus understands that Javi still cares, and he’ll never forgive himself if something happens to Leo and Gus wouldn’t let Javi go. He trusts him.

Can Leo Save Gwen?

Out in Alamainia, Leo realizes that Dimitri’s probably holding Gwen in the same house she held him. He looks up the place and figures out a plan to get in. Gwen, meanwhile, takes a bite of a sandwich and throws it across the room, earning a scolding from Dimitri. He teases her and threatens to hold her forever, but she won’t crack and admit that she held him captive. He refuses to believe her, so she suggests that if she did kidnap, he’d have found proof by now!

Worse? She’s a force to be reckoned with, so he bloody well better watch out! So, Dimitri says, should she. He could always take justice into his own hands… But as he threatens some more, the doorbell rings, and Dimitri doesn’t seem the least surprised. We hear Leo’s voice before he rushes into the room and gives Gwen a hug, while Dimitri watches with a smile.

“I take it you found the place without too much trouble?” Dimitri is delighted. Leo confirms that Gwen’s OK (food atrocities aside) and assures her that he’d risk traveling with a concussion a thousand times over for her. “What about me?” Dimitri asks from the back.

In the Show’s Final Moments

Sarah finds Xander out in the square and she suggests that maybe they should talk about what happened in the wine cellar. Xander, though, plays dumb that anything significant happened and Sarah drops it.

Marlena hurries over to the Pub and swaps out with Sarah, where Brady shows her Kristen’s “puzzling” text. They need to break the news to Rachel and they both know EJ has something to do with this, but he’s dangerous. So Brady’s going to loop Steve in.

Javi confirms that Gus is serious, then hurries off. Leo tells Dimitri he’s there for Gwen. Only Gwen. Which is what Dimitri loves about him! So he’ll be staying there with Gwen and Dimitri until he realizes they belong together. How sweet! Or something.
