An Increasingly Unhinged Billy Clashes With Both Cane and Chelsea — and Sally Asks Adam For a Favor

At the outdoor café, Claire and Holden marvel at all Stephanie did to help both Malcolm and Nikki. Holden can’t believe that Claire’s grandparents went from not speaking to renewing their vows. Claire gushes about true love and Holden assures her he’s a romantic too.

Claire teases Holden about being a player, but he insists he loves the idea of being with one person and having it feel right. He was inspired by his mom’s marriage to Jerry. Claire points out he’s never had a serious relationship. He teases that she sounds like his mom now.

Holden explains he just never found the right person to have a serious relationship with and asks if she would do it again after Kyle. Claire would like to. Awkwardness and goofy smiles ensue.

Holden takes Claire to his suite at the Club, where they make small talk about their living arrangements. She’d love to have her own place. Holden tells her hotel life isn’t exactly real life. She points out they spend a lot of time in them. Where does that leave them? They hit the sheets.

Surprise!

At the Shadow Room, Christine asks Danny why he has a key. What are they doing there?! He says, “I like it here,” and reveals he’s the new man in charge. Cricket gasps, “What?!” Danny loves the idea of staying put and greeting groovy guests every night.

Christine is jolted by the news. She worries about his music and the realities of living a normal life. Danny admits it’s becoming more and more difficult to leave his loved ones to tour. He’ll continue writing and performing. Christine welcomes him home for good. As they kiss, Daniel walks in, wondering why he’s there. Danny explains it’s his new gig.

Daniel is stunned at the idea his dad would stay in one place. Christine explains that he’s very determined. Daniel looks forward to more of his special sauce and they embrace

Soured on Revenge

At Crimson Lights, Chelsea asks Adam if he’ll “snap out of this” today. They go over Victor and Nikki leaving for Italy after renewing their vows. She’s sorry they missed it. Adam has to continue pretending he’s offended by his dad’s accusations. He chews about Billy’s actions leaving him on the outside again.

Chelsea wants to focus on running Newman Media and hopes Adam doesn’t plan to go after Spectra Charles. He assures her he won’t pile onto Sally who is already stuck with Billy for the rest of her life. That said, he is going to make Billy regret turning his father against him.

Chelsea’s not impressed that Adam’s focused on revenge again. He doesn’t think she can expect him to let this slide. All he’ll do is shine a light on the failures that are running Chancellor and force Lily to can them. Chelsea suggests he let them fail organically and focus on Newman Media. Why is Billy so important to him?!

They move to the patio to keep debating. Adam tries making his case to publicize the weakness at the helm of Chancellor. Chelsea argues about exploiting their positions for revenge. He needs to stop manipulating. “I don’t want it and I’m not going to do it,” she informs him.

Hyper and Focused

At Billy’s place, he shows Cane the old Chancellor archives. Whatever Jill is trying to hide is there, and he’s going to find it. Cane isn’t impressed with him focusing on the secret. Billy makes it clear that he’s fixated. Ashby hollers at him to just accept Jill and the choices she made, but Billy informs him he’s already found the first clue!

Exasperated, Cane asks what this big clue is. Billy explains that Chancellor nearly went bankrupt in the past. It was covered up and they got a big influx of cash. This matters. Why would Jill not want him to find out?

Cane hollers that, even if this is true, the information could damage Chancellor. They launch into a shouting match as Billy remains insistent that they have to uncover the truth. Finally, Cane gets in Billy’s face and orders him to let it go… or he’ll have to seriously reconsider hiring him at Chancellor.

Coitus Interruptus

In the Club suite, after sex, Holden and Claire says this feels different. Holden admits it’s pretty real to him. Claire says it is for her too. They kiss until Cane starts knocking on the door. Holden answers it and promises to meet him downstairs in five minutes.

When Holden meets Cane at the bar, his boss explains that Billy is digging into Chancellor’s past. There’s no telling what he’ll find so they need to be careful. Cane wants Holden to keep an eye on him.

Sick Of It

Adam strolls into Society and spots Sally. He apologizes for yesterday. She understands that his anger was about Billy and not her. Adam launches into her boyfriend screwing him over. She sighs. Will he go after him now? Are they really doing revenge for the rest of their lives?

Meanwhile, Chelsea shows up at Billy’s place, where he guesses she’s there to give him a stern talking-to. Chelsea fumes about the stupid game he and Adam are playing. Billy’s sure Adam will only bite himself in the ass. Chelsea’s sick of this. “Stop it already!” Billy thanks her for the heads-up about Adam. She glares. That’s not why she came.

The Final Scenes

At the Shadow Room, Danny wants to bring them all together. Daniel teases that he must be building a family compound. Danny asks where he’s at with his music. Daniel shrugs that there’s not much going on without Tessa. Danny has an offer for him. “Come work with me here.”

At the Club bar, Holden agrees to keep an eye on Billy but questions if Cane only hired him as a spy. He thought this was a legit job. Cane trusts him and they need to protect the company. Holden questions why he’s even keeping Billy around.

At Billy’s place, Chelsea rants that she’s sick of this. She complains about him and Adam continuing Jack and Victor’s tradition. It’s insane! “Why would you go to Victor?” Billy sighs that Victor came at him and rants about truth and transparency. She calls B.S. Billy says Adam’s a snake and she should get away from him. “You should leave him once and for all.”

At Society, Sally guesses Adam will use Newman Media to go after Billy. She asks him to leave Billy alone. With his new job he can get his career back. It would mean a lot to him. “It would mean a lot to me.”
